Sake and Rinske, two former ice skaters from Friesland, have been living in a dreary care home for years. The spark in their relationship died out years ago and their days are filled with sudoku and cold stew. But when news arrives that the Elfstedentocht is taking place again, a newfound energy blossoms between the two. How will they escape the care home to make their final skating trip?
